A fundraiser benefiting childhood cancer research will be held during the grand opening of a real estate brokerage firm’s office on Bergen Avenue near Journal Square.

Alexander Anderson Real Estate, based in Hackensack, is opening an office in Jersey City at 840 Bergen Ave. tomorrow, April 17.

Their official ribbon cutting will double as a fundraiser for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a charity dedicated to raising money for lifesaving childhood cancer research. The volunteer-driven and donor-centered organization is the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants.

Radio personality Joe Bartlett (Host of The WOR Morning Show) will be at the event to collect donations. The real estate group will also donate a percentage of the commission derived from their listing sales during April, May and June.

Mayor Jerramiah Healy, members of the City Council, community leaders and others are expected to attend the event.

The grand opening will be tomorrow, April 17 at 7 pm at 840 Bergen Ave. For more information, email info[at]alexander-anderson.com.
